Wall Around Xi’an, China

Xi’an is one of the oldest cities in China and it was part of the silk road. You can tell by the many flavors and muslim influence of spices and food within the city. Around the city there is a big wall that was initially started during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and completed by 1370 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The wall stretches for 8.5 miles or 13.7 kilometers with a moat surrounding it. There are 4 directional gates, North, East, South, and West and cent. It is certainly a sight to see and if you’re feeling adventurous you can either take a walk or a bike ride around the entire wall.
