Took a walk today and spotted these desert flowers near Otay Ranch, California. I have never seen these types of flowers before, so I snapped a shot.

Chemistry Final Exam
There were four sophomores taking chemistry and all of them had an ‘A’ so far. These four friends were so confident that the weekend before finals, they decided to visit some friends and have a big party. They had a great time but, after all the hearty partying, they slept all day Sunday and didn’t make it back to Florida State until early Monday morning. Rather than taking the final then, they decided that after the final they would explain to their professor why
they missed it. They said that they visited friends but on the way back they had a flat tire. As a result, they missed the final.
The professor agreed they could make up the final the next day.
The guys were excited and relieved. They studied that night for the exam.
The next day the Professor placed them in separate rooms and gave them a test booklet.
They quickly answered the first problem worth 5 points. Cool, they thought! Each one, in a separate room, thought this was going to be easy … then they turned the page. On the second page was written: For 95 points: Which tire?
Bixby Bridge – Big Sur, California
As I drove up the California Highway 1 today, I decided to stop and take some photos of the Bixby Bridge. The Bixby creek bridge was opened in 1932. It is one of the tallest single-span concrete arch bridges in the world. It is located in Monterey County and is part of the California State Highway System. There are nice views both of the bridge and of the area because of it’s location on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Elephant Seals Near San Simeon
As I drove up California Highway 1, I stopped off at a beach near San Simeon to check out some elephant seals. Being that I’ve never seen elephant seals before, I didn’t know what to expect. First off they are very dramatic. They are always making noise and getting into fights where it looks like they are trying to either bite or get the higher ground on their competition. Second, they are not very graceful on land. They move along and look like a slug. It’s funny because you can see all of their fat jiggle when they move. Third, I guess they get the name “elephant seal” because of the funny shaped nose they have that kind of resembles a trunk. Here are my photos from this interesting experience.

Golf Club Locker Room
Several men are in the locker room of a golf club.
A cellular phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen.
MAN: “Hello”
WOMAN: “Hi Honey, it’s me. Are you at the club?”
MAN: “Yes.”
WOMAN: “I’m at the shops now and found this beautiful leather coat. It’s only $2,000. Is it OK if I buy it?”
MAN: “Sure, go ahead if you like it that much.”
WOMAN: “I also stopped by the Lexus dealership and saw the new models. I saw one I really liked.”
MAN: “How much?”
WOMAN: “$90,000.”
MAN: “OK, but for that price I want it with all the options.”
WOMAN: “Great! Oh, and one more thing. I was just talking to Janie and found out that the house I wanted last year is back on the market. They’re asking $980,000 for it.”
MAN: “Well, then go ahead and make an offer of $900,000. They’ll probably take it. If not, we can go the extra eighty-thousand if it’s what you really want.”
WOMAN: “OK. I’ll see you later! I love you so much!”
MAN: “Bye! I love you, too.” The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open. He turns and asks, “Anyone know whose phone this is?”

Donald Trump does not seem to hold political party organizations in high regard.
For the most part, his political involvement has been for practical reasons.
Donald Trump does not appear to be held to political ideology.
Some of my take aways:
- Trump has an extraordinarily energetic central nervous system much like Teddy Roosevelt but more targeted to industry and enterprise.
- Trump’s presidency will be very energetic, transparent, and communicative.
- Trump will be a very hard working President.
- His interaction with his older brother (who everybody loved) tells me that he thinks that everybody is like him – or wants to be – or should be.
- His relationship with his older brother was a hard lesson in tolerance for him.
- Trump is the Babe Ruth of career achievements.
- He is dumb like a fox. When you think he just said something stupid – he didn’t. It’s just that you were not his target audience.
- Trump knows the people – the folk.
- His son, Donald Jr. is right. Trump is a “Blue Collar Billionaire”.
- More than anything, his TV show, The Apprentice, was his passion. He wants all Americans to have confidence (like he does) to venture.
- Donald Trump is attracted to and marries smart, high achieving women.
- The highest levels of a Trump Administration is certain to have many women – and they will be bright and assertive.
- Donald Trump’s children are very important to him. And it shows.
- Yes, we know virtually nothing of our current president with 2 terms in office.
100 Year Old Rolls Royce
It was originally bought for $1,000 in 1912 (almost $93,000 in today’s money) but has now gone under the hammer for $4,705,500, making it the most expensive Rolls Royce ever sold at auction.
Unique: This 100-year-old Silver Ghost Rolls Royce has sold for a world-record price of $5 million after a furious bidding war at Bonham’s.
Through the roof: The lengthy auction saw two enthusiasts dueling for the pristine car as the bidding went up in increments of 100,000, smashing past the $2 million estimate.
In great nick: The six-cylinder, 7.3-litre car comes with perfect provenance and is still purring smoothly, doing about 15 miles to the gallon. What it lacks in gadgetry, the British-made classic more than compensates for with an extraordinary level of luxury that leaves its modern-day counterparts looking a little unsophisticated. Its gleaming interior fittings are made of silver and ivory, while the door panels are embroidered silk, with brocade tassels attached to silk window shades for privacy.
The passenger footrest hides a full picnic set for four, a China tea service, complete with an alcohol-fuelled burner and a kettle to heat the water, and a set of six decanters – three in sterling silver and three in leather-wrapped glass.
The sale took place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex on Friday. Auctioneers had expected it to sell for around $2 million and were astonished when the bidding between two rival collectors topped $4 million. James Knight, from Bonham’s auctioneers, said: “There were three bidders, then one of them dropped out at $2.3 million and we thought it would end there.”
Traveling in style: The design chosen by its original owner echoed the luxurious ‘ Pullman ‘ Railway carriages pioneered by American George Pullman.
Luxurious: The elegant passenger compartment (left) complete with 29 beveled glass windows and (right) the stylish steering wheel.
“But then another bidder entered and the bidders were dueling. It went up in increments of $50,000, and then $100,000, and then back down to $50,000. It went on and on and on and was the longest car sale I have ever witnessed.” It was pure theatre. Everyone was very respectful but when the price reached a milestone, like $3 million, there was an intake of breath. “The bidders were dueling and when the hammer came down there was spontaneous applause.” It was fitting because the car is celebrating her centenary.
The car was commissioned by Rolls Royce connoisseur John M. Stephens, who also bought the first Silver Ghost the luxury car-maker produced in 1906. The body was built by former royal carriage-maker Barker’s of Mayfair , which had previously built coaches for King George III and Queen Victoria.
Standing the test of time: The 7.3-litre, six-cylinder engine is still purring smoothly and is capable of doing around 15 miles to the gallon.
Mark of history: A plaque bearing the vehicle’s chassis number of 1907.
Touch of class: The original owner employed the services of the best coach-making company, Barker and Co. Ltd, to do the bodywork.
Classic designs: One of the car’s brake lights. The Rolls – Royce still had its headlights, carriage lights, rear lights and inflatable tires when it went up for sale. The car even had an early speedometer – an important addition given that a 20 mph speed limit was introduced in 1912.
Unlike most car enthusiasts of his time, Mr. Stephens, from Croydon, South London, asked the makers not to include a glass division window between the driver and the passengers as he wanted to drive it himself rather than rely on a chauffeur.
The car’s distinctive cream and green design echoed the luxury ˜Pullman Railway carriages of the time, and it was known as a Double Pullman Limousine. But it was nicknamed ˜the Corgi Silver Ghost in the 1960s after the toy-maker based its Silver Ghost toy car on this model.
Mr. Stephens’s car is believed to be the only one of its kind to survive with its full interior and bodywork, as many Rolls Royce from the era were converted into ambulances during the First World War.
Republican Truck
I stopped by the Ford Dealership in Temecula yesterday, for a look at the new F-150 aluminum pickup. Just for fun, I took it out for a test drive. I wanted to sense that new truck “feel” before they become old.
The salesperson, a very nice looking black lady, wearing a “Hillary for President” lapel pin, sat in the passenger seat next to me, describing the truck and all its “wonderful” options. The seats were of particular interest.
She explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.
I mentioned that this must be a Republican truck.
Looking a bit angry, she asked why I thought it was a Republican truck.
I explained that if it were a Hillary truck, the seats would just blow smoke up your ass year-round.
I had to walk back to the dealership. She obviously has no sense of humor.

Kansas Highway Patrol Officer Traffic Stop Story
Story from a Kansas State Highway Patrol officer:
I made a traffic stop on an elderly lady the other day for speeding On U.S. 166 Eastbound at Mile Marker 73 just East of Sedan, KS.
I asked for her driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance.
The lady took out the required information and handed it to me.
In with the cards I was somewhat surprised (due to her advanced age) to see she had a conceal carry permit. I looked at her and ask if she had a weapon in her possession at this time.
She responded that she indeed had a .45 automatic in her glove box.
Something—body language, or the way she said it—made me want to ask if she had any other firearms.
She did admit to also having a 9mm Glock in her center console..
Now I had to ask one more time if that was all.
She responded once again that she did have just one more, a .38 special in her purse.
I then asked her what was she so afraid of.
She looked me right in the eye and said, “Not a f*****g thing!”

Later in life, after the West had been tamed, he settled in New York City, and worked as a sports editor for the New York Morning Telegraph.
Wyoming, circa 1900, Overland by Stagecoach….Crossing the country by stagecoach was adventurous even by nineteenth-century standards. Nine people could squeeze inside a stagecoach; additional passengers sometimes traveled on the roof. Passengers remained sandwiched together for about 22 days, with only brief stops for meals and changes of stock or equipment.

Leninade – Get Hammered and Sickled in California
What the heck is happening in the super markets in California? I was in the super market and I came across a beverage called “Leninade” and their slogan is “Get hammered and sickled.” How the heck did something like this make its way into super markets in the United States? What kind of self-loathing, democratic, pigs would think it’s a good idea to sell this communist crap here? It just sickens me. What will I see next a nice “KGB” hand held radio?
Funny Sign at the Sea Life Aquarium
I was at the Sea Life Aquarium and I saw this sign. The way the sign shows a finger pointing at a fish with a line through it and then the outside fish has a sad face, it looks like the sign is saying, “Don’t point at the fish. It hurts their self esteem.” Maybe it’s saying, “Don’t point finger guns at the fish.” Finger guns must make fish sad. I find that to be funny.

Baptism in the river. From “Appalachian Life” photographic study.
Child soldier – in desperation the Nazi’s used many of these children often as fodder for front line diversionary actions. These children didn’t have a chance.
This photo, taken at the end of the war shows a young boy terrified by the sounds of battle. He even wet his pants! You can see he is being told to toughen up!
No other family in American history has suffered a wartime loss like that of Waterloo’s Sullivan family. The Sullivans gave up their five sons in a World War II tragedy that has never been forgotten. They all were serving on the same ship that was sunk. The Navy changed its policy after that tragedy about next of kin serving on the same ship.
lleta Sullivan reads a letter from the U.S. Navy. She received two letters from F.D.R. in February of 1943. The first informed her of the death of her five sons in the line of duty, the second, sent later, requested her presence at the christening of the destroyer U.S.S. Sullivans named in their honor. Can you even start to imagine the grief this poor lady had?
Donkey Kong is an A-hole!
Donkey Kong is an A-hole! I never knew I would have such strong feelings for a video game character, but I do. I hate him. I hate everything about him. I will show you some proof of why I think he’s an a-hole.
First off let me start by saying that only an a-hole would kidnap a princess. Then after the little plumber comes to save her, this jerk-off starts throwing barrels at him. What could be anymore of a dick thing to do than that?
This video clearly shows a prime example of Donkey Kong being a dick. For no reason what-so-ever DK, plows into metal Mario. He clearly wasn’t going for that loot. Then he looks back with a smile on his face. If I was there, I would punch him in his stupid face!
Look at his taunting move from Super Smash Bros Brawl. Let me start with that stupid tie. Only an a-hole would wear nothing, but a tie. Then he is so stupid he has his initials printed on it. Is his tongue sticking out? Who does he think he is…Michael Jordan? He deserves to get his face punched in for impersonating one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
Look at this cute little purple dragon and there is Donkey Kong getting ready to punch him. Clearly Donkey Kong knows there is a witness and yet he doesn’t care. He’s still going to sucker punch Spyro.
Here is another example of Donkey Kong showing he’s got anger issues. Yoshi is walking along and “Ka-pow” he gets punched in the face by this big, hairy, jerk.
Look at that expression on his face? Does any part of that scream happy? He obviously has all sorts of anger issues. Go see a doctor already.
Why would anyone flex like that? only a person who would kiss themselves in the mirror would do that. How conceited.
I truly hate everything about Donkey Kong!
